Selling
During COVID-19
Should I put my house on the market right now?
An agent can offer you guidance on what to
expect when listing your home for sale in the current environment.
Though your agent may not be able to physically host a
showing for multiple potential buyers, there are virtual methods that can be
utilized instead. New tools and technology such as Zoom and recorded video
tours still allow buyers to see a home.
Do people have to come into my home to tour it?
No. If you wish, the only other person that
can have access to your home is your agent. The agent can take a recorded video
tour or conduct live video tours. If you prefer that the agent doesn't come to
your home either, they can guide you on how to take your own recorded video
tour, which you can then share with them.
Recorded video tours
Your agent can take a recorded video tour of
your home and share it with prospective buyers through Dropbox, Google Drive,
and other avenues.
Live video tours
Your agent can host a virtual open house for
your property through live video tours.
Similar to a Facebook or Instagram live video, Zoom
enables viewers to post chat comments on the video in real time. These chats
are visible to the person taking the live video and can be made visible to
anyone else watching the video. Live video tours can also be privately
arranged.
