In the late 19th century, Midtown was considered one of the finest neighborhoods in Atlanta. Mansions lined Peachtree Street and Piedmont Park had just been developed. Roughly a century later, the Midtown Alliance was formed to continue to improve and maintain the neighborhood’s safety, arts and education programs and overall quality of life. Today, Midtown is considered both a commercial district as well as Atlanta’s “Heart of the Arts.”
Piedmont Park is spread out over 200 acres of green space. The park is host to many amenities, from some of Atlanta’s favorite festivals to Saturday’s Green Market and the off-leash dog park—just to name a few!
