IMPORTANT NOTICE TO STUDENTS:
The School Renews Its Approval On 12/31/2019 - School Code 1018 The Georgia Real Estate Commission has approved this resident (in-class) course, Salesperson’s Pre-license Course Code 27687
INSTRUCTORS: The approved instructors are: Ennis Antoine, Paul Cross, Silas Frazier, Alan Jennings, Greg Kane, Donna Mungin, Judge Parker, Charlie Ratcliff, Molly Slocumb-Riley, Kristy Serkedakis, Lauretta Taylor, and Curtis York. Additional instructors may be approved by the Commission to teach this course.
GRADING: All students will be required to conform to the grading policies required of this course under Commission approval. There are homework assignments that must be satisfactorily completed before certification can occur. Students must have a 75% average on homework to be eligible to take the course final exam. What constitutes a passing grade will be solely determined by the course final examination. Students must achieve a score of 75% or more on the final exam in order to become certified as having completed the course. Any student who does not pass the final exam the first time may retake the final exam one time at no charge. Students should register for the retake exam at least 48 hours in advance for a date and time at the following site: http://metrobrokers.com/academy/students.
All testing must be completed within (1) one year of course start date. If a student fails to achieve a passing score on a retake examination, the entire 75-hour course must be repeated before taking another examination. Re-enrollment fees for the Salesperson’s Pre-license course are $150.00 (in-class format). Students may be required to purchase new books if course materials have changed.
ATTENDANCE: Students are required to attend all of the required minimum 75 hours. Any missed required attendance will have to be made up by the student before taking the course final exam. If a student misses less than 12 hours, then missed time can be made up by: 1) attending alternate pre-license sessions or 2) attending a cram course at the student’s expense. If a student misses more than 12 hours, then the student will be dropped from the course and will be required to pay a $150 re-enrollment fee to retake a subsequent Salesperson Pre-license course (in-class format).
CERTIFICATION: Upon completion of a course and passing the school final exam, the school will convey the student record of completion online to the Georgia Real Estate Commission within two business days following the school final exam. Students will be able to schedule a state examination within 72 hours after certification.
NSF: Any applicant who has a declined charge or closed account will be assessed a $30.00 NSF fee.
REFUNDS: A student may request a refund prior to attending a class or after attending the 1st scheduled class session/day. No refunds will be paid once a student has attended more than one (1) session/day of class. Metro Brokers Academy will retain a $30.00 administrative fee and $55.00 book charge (if the student received a textbook in advance) for any refund paid. NOTE: Refunds are not available if the course was purchased through a third-party discount provider (i.e. Groupon, etc.) because the voucher is redeemed upon enrollment; and non-refundable once the student is registered for the pre-license course.
TRANSFERS: If a student has attended less than 50% of the course, a student may transfer to a subsequent pre-license course ONE TIME ONLY at no charge. The student will be required to retake the entire course and the transfer must be completed within one year of original enrollment date. After one year, re-enrollment will be required.
NON-DISCRIMINATION: Metro Brokers Academy is committed to equality of educational opportunity and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial, handicap status or sexual orientation in the establishment of fees, entrance qualifications or standards for successful completion of any course.
RECRUITING: No recruiting for employment opportunities for any real estate brokerage firm is allowed in this class or on the School premises. Report promptly any effort to recruit by anyone to the Academy Director, Terry Young, at 404.836.4040 or by contacting The Georgia Real Estate Commission.
