This building was originally built for the Carter Casket Co. in 1908 and later was the market and post office for Powersville, GA. More recently it was the Powersville Opry House. It was briefly used as a church while their new one was under construction. LOTS of history and the building has been well maintained. The upstairs was an apartment for the market owners and could be converted into an apartment or office space for the business downstairs. When I walked through, my mind raced with all the possibilities. Auto body shop? Automotive repair shop? Almost any small construction business or service that doesn’t rely on foot traffic. The location is about 1/4 mile off Hwy 247 Connector/Watson Blvd. between I-75 and Georgia State Hwy 49.
