Sandy Springs is a city of around 101,000 just outside of the perimeter in Atlanta to the north. The city is in Fulton County and was incorporated in 2005.

The first home in Sandy Springs was built in 1842. From 1950-2005, the city was subject of many referendums, legislative bills and discussions about whether it should be incorporated or annexed into Atlanta. In 2005, the city voted to incorporate and the first mayor and city council members were elected that year.

Six hundred photographs and more than 8,000 words grace the halls of the Anne Frank in the World Exhibit in Sandy Springs. The exhibit tells the story of Anne Frank and the history of the Holocaust. An incredibly educational and reflective experience, this exhibit is one of the absolute musts in Sandy Springs.
