Established in 1870, Norcross was named after former Atlanta Mayor Jonathan Norcross and quickly considered the go-to getaway for Atlantans looking for a break from the hustle and bustle. Norcross is the second oldest city in Gwinnett County and was officially added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1980.
