Kevin Levent and Craig McClelland Both Honored as RISMedia 2021 Real Estate Newsmakers

Two members of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers' leadership - President Kevin Levent and Vice President Craig McClelland - were honored by RISMedia this week as 2021 Real Estate Newsmakers. BHGRE Metro Brokers is one of the only organizations to have two leaders on the RISMedia Newsmaker list at the same time.

For this distinction, RISMedia selected professionals across the real estate industry who made headlines in 2020 as a result of their newsworthy contributions to the real estate industry and their efforts to positively affect the communities they serve, despite challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Kevin Levent was recognized in the "Luminaries: Iconic Leaders" segment of the list for launching new technologies to enable BHGRE Metro Brokers agents to assist their clients, whether at home or in the office.

"Metro Brokers is in the 'Business of Real Estate', not the 'Real Estate Business'," said Levent. "When we realized that COVID-19 was going to change a lot of factors in our industry, our business goal became investing in our agents to make sure they could continue to assist our clients in the pursuit of home ownership and wealth creation.

Craig McClelland was recognized in the "Trendsetters" segment of the list, for hosting the Metro Challenge-a series of Zoom webinars with BHGRE Metro Brokers Agents that lasted 45 days at the onset of the pandemic, with discussions from 31 industry leaders.

"It's important to consistently push for innovation, keeping current and future homeowners top of mind," McClelland said. "As long as you concentrate on their experience, then the business will continue to grow."

Both Levent and McClelland are featured in the February 2021 issue of RISMedia's Real Estate magazine.
