Metro Brokers Financial - Atlanta Mortgage News

Atlanta Business Chronicle gives Metro Brokers Financial #1 ranking

7/2/2008

The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual list of mortgage broker “Top Guns” in Georgia recently revealed Metro Brokers Financial (MBF) as the number one residential mortgage broker in Georgia for 2007. This is the third year that MBF has gained the top spot, and the company is poised to remain in the first position on the list for a long time to come.

MBF blew away the competition with more than 1,400 closed loans totaling $235 million. And the next closest competitor hardly served Georgia at all. Only 6% of the competitor’s loans were for purchases in Georgia, while MBF had a staggering 85.4%, the highest percentage on the list.

The remaining competitors were even further behind. In fact, the third ranked mortgage company on the list was almost $100 million below MBF’s volume and there was a $214 million difference between MBF and the 20th ranking company.

Judy Jones, Vice President of MBF, attributes the success of the company to the growing number of sales associates who recommend MBF to their clients.

“The majority of our business is based on assisting Metro Brokers sales associates,” explains Jones. “MBF strives to give the absolute best service to our agents and their clients.”

MBF is dedicated to helping sales associates grow their business as well as helping families realize their dream of homeownership by providing a wide range of products and exceptional customer service. Sales associates also like to partner with MBF because of the marketing tools and service they receive from the experienced metro Atlanta loan officers.

In addition, Lloyd Carver, Linda Kennedy, Paul Cargal and Corey Mason were recognized as Top Gun Producers for being on the top 25 loan officers list for the state of Georgia. MBF had four loan officers on the list, more than any other company.

Mortgage brokers have to be a member of the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers (GAMB) for the entire fiscal year the numbers are based on in order to qualify for the “Top Guns” list. The list is compiled annually by the GAMB for the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Book of Lists.

Jones has a long list of accomplishments under her belt. Last year, she was named Mortgage Broker of the Year by GAMB. In 2008, Fannie Mae invited her to Washington, DC, as the first outside vendor to speak at their annual corporate sales meeting in the history of the event. She was asked to attend due to the success of MBF’s homebuyer seminars that began in 2007.

MBF’s homebuyer seminars are already netting sales associates clients and closings. More than 100 homebuyers and sales associates turned out at one of the most recent seminars at the Stonecrest office. Only standing room remained in the office, and homebuyers were extremely excited about the programs that MBF displayed.
