Whitestone wins Silver Professionalism Award

Whitestone, a new 155-home community priced from the low $300s on Highway 5 in Douglas County, won the Silver Professionalism Award for Best Amenities Package from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association earlier this month.

The community, which competed in the under 499 units category, is being built by Kerry Brand of Brand Homes and marketed by Metro Brokers’ Builder-Developer Marketing Group. The amenities package at Whitestone is worth more than $1 million.

“The award comes as no surprise,” said Dac Carver, Director of Marketing and New Home Services. “Kerry went above what other subdivisions in this price range offer. Whitestone’s amenities package is worth more than $1 million.”

Whitestone’s amenities include:

Equal to the quality of the amenities, the builder includes a long list of luxuries in each home at Whitestone. Homes offer up to five bedrooms, basements, keeping rooms, libraries, bonus rooms, multiple fireplaces, and master suites with sitting rooms. Standard features include hardwood floors, six foot jetted tubs, ceramic tile in all baths, walk-in closets, granite counters and more.

In addition, Brand Homes pays $3,000 in closing costs with preferred lender Metro Brokers Financial.

Homebuyers will also get the red carpet treatment when they meet one-on-one with a decorator that helps them choose from a wide variety of cabinetry, flooring, lighting, paint colors, countertops, hardware, tile, exteriors and more. The designers sit down with homebuyers to show them samples and offer assistance in matching selections.

The schools for Whitestone are considered among the best in Douglas County and include South Douglas Elementary, Fairplay Middle School, and Alexander High School.

Kathleen Gaertner, new homes specialist for Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate’s Builder-Developer Marketing Group, is on hand at the community clubhouse, which also functions as a sales and information center. The clubhouse is open on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to dusk and Sundays from 1 p.m. to dusk.

Whitestone will be the third active new home community in metro Atlanta for Brand Homes, the sole builder in the community. The company also builds homes in Bramlett Meadows in Paulding County and The Crest at River Trace in Newton County.

Brand Homes was named Builder of the Year by Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate’s Builder-Developer Marketing Group in 2004 and is on pace to close more than 100 homes this year – the most ever for the company since its inception in 2000.

Whitestone is located on Hwy. 5 in southwestern Douglas County. To reach Whitestone, take I-20 to Exit 30 (Post Road) and travel south approximately eight miles. Turn left on Hwy. 166 and then right on Hwy. 5. Whitestone will be ¼ mile on the right.
