Hughes receives CCIM
Wood Hughes, Atlanta commercial associate broker, recently received the
Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is one of
only 400 CCIMs in Georgia.
A CCIM is an expert in commercial and investment real estate. Only six
percent of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners
nationwide hold a CCIM, and it’s considered the top professional
designation for a commercial real estate associate.
It took Hughes three years to earn his CCIM. He had to document $5
million of commercial transactions, build a 100-plus page portfolio,
finish six one-week courses, and take a final exam.
Hughes’ has 30 years of sales experience and specializes in land. Last
year, he received the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation from
the Realtor’s Land Institute. He is the first dual designee of CCIM and
ALC designations in metro Atlanta and is one of only three in Georgia.
Hughes joined Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate in 2001 and has received
many awards including Medallion and Summit Club. He has a B.A. in
Broadcasting and Mass Communication from the University of Alabama. He
lives in Stockbridge.
