Metro Brokers forms Toastmasters club

Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate recently created its own Toastmasters Club, a “learn-by-doing” workshop that helps sales associates overcome their fear of public speaking.

For example, as an icebreaker, Arthur Harris of the Forsyth office, Diane Gray of the Perimeter office and Ethel Miles- Jackson of the Cascade office discussed brief overviews of their lives in front of almost 20 people at the Nov. 13 meeting. During the meeting, sales associates were given the opportunity to practice impromptu speaking, expand their vocabulary, and listen effectively.

Meetings are held every Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and Metro Brokers sales associates need only pay a one-time $50 new membership application fee. Thereafter, membership dues are only $30 every six months.
