Education adds value to North Village homes  

Picking out cabinets, countertops, and wall colors has never been easy. There are thousands of choices available, and the number of different combinations available grows larger each day.

However, North Village, a 56-home community located in Bartow County, has made the home customization process straightforward and hassle-free. The community provides homebuyers with access to the Flooring Design Group, a home decorating service that offers innovative solutions to the designing process.

Home Solutions Interactive, an online service offered by North Village and the Flooring Design Group, is a system that teaches homebuyers about the various options available for their new home. The system instructs buyers on the style and design aspects of their home as well as how certain choices can affect their home.

For example, when picking out cabinets it is important to take into consideration the finish of the appliances before picking a certain cabinet finish. Or if you have a dog that weighs 100 pounds, pinewood floors may not be the best option.

Home Solutions Interactive also provides homebuyers with the following:

•Product and construction information
•Features and benefits of various products
•Terminology
•Style and design tips
•Maximizing investments (top upgrade areas and how it affects mortgage payments)
•Warranty and repair information

“The website gave me great ideas of what to buy and how to maintain it once it was installed,” said Pam Hanson, a homeowner in North Village. “The Home Solutions Interactive was a great tool that prepared me for when I met with my designer.”

Also included in the online experience is a short survey. This provides representatives of the Flooring Design Group with the buyer’s preferences before meeting face-to-face to pick out their selections.

North Village features homes that are constructed in the Craftsman style. There are currently 10 completed homes that are ready to tour featuring arched interior doors, case openings and columns, vaulted and trey ceilings, large fireplaces with decorative mantels, hardwood floors, tile in all bathrooms and laundry rooms, and a $1,000 Whirlpool appliance allowance.

Homes are priced from the $210s to $270s and feature three, four and five bedroom floorplans with two and three car garages on half acre to one and a half acre homesites. Exterior elevations include board and batten siding, stacked stone, and historical colors. Plus, the builder, Rock Solid Builders, pays up to $6,000 in closing costs (based on the price of the home) with preferred lender Metro Brokers Financial.

The community is located in the town of Rydal in northwest Bartow County, about 10 miles northeast of Cartersville, 12 miles west of Canton, and only five miles from I-75. North Village is set amidst the north Georgia foothills and views of picturesque mountain ranges abound. The community also boasts a 10-acre lake and approximately a quarter of a mile of walking trails. In addition, some homesites back up to national preserve wetlands and feature a beautiful view of the Pine Log Mountains.

The schools for North Village are considered among the best in Bartow County and include Pine Log Elementary, Adairsville Middle and Adairsville High.
