New home page generates increased traffic, rave reviews

The new Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate home page launched last month has been an instant hit with homebuyers and agents alike.

The revamped home page debuted on May 17 and since then the number of unique users jumped 25.46 percent year-over-year to 108,722 for the three week period ending June 9, 2007. Kevin Levent, President and CEO of Metro Brokers, attributed the success of the revised home page to better search features and an overall fresh approach.

“In the online world, change is good,” Levent said. “The proof is in our improved traffic numbers.”

Another important statistic – average visitor time – was also up compared to the same time period prior to the launch of the new home page. The average visitor length increased almost five percent to more than 27 minutes per user.

“In the fast-paced, short attention span world we live in, 27 minutes is an eternity,” Levent said. “Consumers who are coming to our site like what they find and are staying there awhile.”
