Super Sunday Open House participation up 25% second time around; First grand prize winner announced

Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate’s second Super Sunday open house event met with enormous success on April 15. There were 624 homes on tour, a 25 percent increase over the inaugural Super Sunday in March.

David Smith of Atlanta was the winner of Metro Brokers’ first ever Super Sunday $1,000 giveaway on April 19. He attended an open house in Mableton hosted by Wendy Pike of the Paulding office and almost didn’t register as a visitor because he thought he wouldn’t win the drawing.

“I’ve never won anything!” Smith said. “It’s really exciting. I plan to use the money to pay my American Express credit card.”

A new winner will be announced every month on or around the 19th in the Metro Messenger and on MetroNet. Also, look for the winner’s name and photo in the Super Sunday TV commercial, Atlanta Journal-Constitution Homefinder (AJC) ad, Hot Properties magazine and on the Super Sunday website (supersunday.metrobrokers.com).

More than 800 Metro Brokers sales associates have become certified to host open houses (Super Sundays included) through the Certified Open House Training classes. And by early to mid summer, any Metro Brokers sales associate who wants to become a certified hosting agent will have had the opportunity to become certified. More than 30 Certified Open House Training classes are either scheduled or planned over the next two to three months with a regular course schedule for new agents set to begin this summer.

With every agent in the company certified, future Super Sundays have the potential to exceed 1,000 open houses in one day. In fact, more than 150 sales associates have already donated their open houses for next month’s Super Sunday event on May 13.
