Hot Properties in Publix beginning March 1

Beginning March 1, Hot Properties will be distributed in all 134 metro Atlanta Publix grocery stores.

When combined with the 127 Kroger locations where Hot Properties is already distributed, Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate's monthly listing magazine will be found in the two grocery store chains that account for more than 60 percent of the local grocery store market.

In order to accomodate the addition of Publix to the distribution roster, Metro Brokers will no longer distribute Hot Properties in Eckerd drug stores, which had disappointing movement reports.

Dac Carver, Director of Marketing, said the decision to switch from Eckerd to Publix was an easy one.

"The Publix chain will carry much more weight with potential clients when our agents are talking about Hot Properties during their listing presentations," Carver said. "Publix has an outstanding brand and their shoppers are very loyal. Also, their free publication displays are typically positioned in very visible locations near the entrance to their stores."

In addition to Kroger and Publix, Hot Properties will continue to be distributed in hundreds of restaurants, convenience stores and other retail locations throughout metro Atlanta and north Georgia. However, all of these supplemental locations will be new on March 1 too, as Metro Brokers transitions to a new publisher of Hot Properties.

The new publisher of Hot Properties is Harmon Media Group, replacing Network Communications.

Other changes associated with the shift to Harmon include placement of all Metro Brokers listings on homes.com and an electronic version of Hot Properties that agents can email to clients.
