Metro Brokers' West Cobb office welcomes Bennett home
from Iraq
|
First Lieutenant Andre Bennett of the Metro Brokers West Cobb office
recently returned from an 18-month tour of duty in Iraq with the Army
Reserves.
Upon his return, sales associates in the West Cobb office began planning
a welcome home party to let him know how much they appreciated his
service. Bennett received a warm greeting from more than 15 associates
when he arrived at Taco Mac in Marietta last Thursday.
“It’s nice to know everyone is thinking of me,” said Bennett. “I
received a few care packages from fellow agents while I was in Iraq plus
encouraging emails even from agents I’d never met before. It’s awesome
to have familiar faces make me feel at home and welcome me back to the
Metro Brokers family.”
Over nachos and margaritas, Bennett took the time to share stories about
security detail and building relations between Iraqi citizens and the
local officials.
“Everyone was hanging on every word Andre was saying,” said Waverly
Harding of the West Cobb office. “It was amazing (and quite emotional)
to hear the day-to-day impact Andre and other troops had on Iraqi
citizens. He’s been through a lot and we’re so proud to have him home
safe.”
Bennett, who joined Metro Brokers in 2002, has already began his search
for new customers and went on caravan last week. He hopes to be part of
the Medallion Club by next year’s awards banquet.
