Drake honored by MSAR

Brianne Drake, Office Meeting Leader of the Stockbridge office, recently received the J.L. Christian Award, given by the Metro South Association of REALTORS® (MSAR) to the board member who goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Drake was honored by MSAR president Keith Harris at the annual awards luncheon on Dec. 15, 2009. “Brianne is someone who contributes unselfishly to the real estate industry, her fellow REALTORS and her community,” he said. “This award goes to only one person each year that best exemplifies the true spirit of a REALTOR.”

“I was completely surprised,” laughed Drake. “And of course, I was thrilled.” Drake’s award didn’t come as a surprise to her fellow board members. Drake is heavily involved in MSAR, serving as a Local Director, as well as Chair of the Membership Committee, and Vice Chair of the Education Committee. She also actively participates in the Grievance Committee and the Equal Opportunity Cultural Diversity Committee.

Her proudest achievement and a deciding factor in the award was her introduction and implementation of a credit card installment plan for members to pay their dues. “It was huge,” said Drake. “It allowed members to make smaller payments over a period of a few months, as opposed to one larger amount.”

Drake’s passion for real estate began in 1998 when she first became licensed. She joined Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers in 2000 and has never looked back. “I love to network and to get involved,” she said. Drake also enjoys hosting home-buying seminars and working with first-time buyers.

Prior accomplishments include the MSAR 2007 and 2008 Circle of Excellence Award-Million Dollar Club award, the Premium Service Diamond Award (2007, 2008, 2009) and the Quality Service Certified Platinum Level (2007, 2008, 2009). She was also named a “Top 50 Realtor on the Rise” recipient in 2008 by RISMedia Real Estate Magazine.
